ABSTRACT

Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most frequent congenital malformation in children. With the improvement of the diagnosis and treatment of CHD, most children can survive to adulthood without suffering cardiovascular diseases. However, relevant research suggests that health-related quality of life (HRQOL) of some children with CHD after surgery still differs from that of healthy children of the same age.Based on a brief review of the concept of HRQOL, effective evaluation tools and the research status at home and abroad, disputes among relevant research conclusions in different countries or regions were discussed in this article. The influence of the child, family and diagnosis and treatment on postoperative HRQOL of children with CHD was analyzed.Approaches and response plans were put forward to improve postoperative HRQOL.In addition, the limitations of past research were pointed out, and suggestions were made on future research methods, tools and directions in this field. It′s hoped that this study can provide valuable information for CHD diagnosis and treatment and reference for follow-up research.

ABSTRACT

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is one of the common diseases of the digestive system. At present, with the development of microecology, more and more researches confirm that intestinal microecological imbalance may be an important part of the pathogenesis of UC. This article explored the research progress of traditional Chinese medicine in treating UC by adjusting the gut microecology mainly from the four aspects of gut microecology UC and unilateral, compound, acupuncture, and enema.

ABSTRACT

Boronic acids and their derivatives have been widely used in carbohydrate-sensitive materials because they can selectively bind 1,2-and 1,3-diol compounds, including sugars, to form cyclic boronate esters. In this work, pheylboronic acid ( PBA) moieties were grafted onto the backbone of poly( acrylic acid) ( PAA) through the condensation reaction between aminopheyl-boronic acid and carboxylic acid group of PAA in the presence of EDC/NHS, designed as PAA-PBA. Then the resulting PAA-PBA were assembled with poly ( ethyleneimine) ( PEI) to form PAA-PBA multilayer films. The sensing performance of the PEI/PAA-PBA film to carbohydrate (> 50 μg/mL ) , including glucose, fructose, mannose and galactose, has been investigated by combination of the complementary techniques of quartz crystal microbalance ( QCM ) and atomic force microscopy ( AFM) . It was demonstrated that the multilayer showed higher sensitivity to fructose than glucose, mannose and galactose. The interferences of ascorbic acid, uric acid and dopamine to the recognition of glucose can be avoided and the multilayer sensor with excellent long term stability can be recycled by changing pH value of buffer solutions. This system may be potential in realization of high selectivity and high sensitivity sensing system for probing carbohydrate.
